Famous Arabic Tale: "Witnesses of Truth"

Famous Arabic Tale: "Witnesses of Truth"

It is said that there was a village that was famous for lying and giving false testimony. In the same village, a man and a woman secretly, but in a complete Sharia way, got married. The Qazi, witnesses, and Sharia requirements were all fulfilled. After some time, a rift occurred between the two. The husband kicked the wife out of the house and also deprived her of all Sharia rights. The oppressed woman reached the Qazi and complained that the husband had not only kicked her out but had also snatched her right. The Qazi asked: "Was your marriage really performed?" The woman replied: "Yes, a complete Sharia marriage was performed. In the presence of the Qazi and two witnesses." The Qazi summoned the husband and witnesses to the court. But all three flatly denied it in court. Everyone said: "We have neither ever seen this woman nor did any marriage take place." Now the Qazi asked the woman: "Does your husband have dogs?" The woman said: "Yes." The Qazi said: "Will you accept the testimony and decision of those dogs?" The woman said: "Yes, I accept their testimony." The Qazi ordered: "Take this woman to her husband's house. If the dogs bark upon seeing her, reacting by considering her a stranger, then she is a liar. But if they are happy upon seeing her, recognize her, and welcome her, then the woman is truthful, and the husband and witnesses are liars." Hearing this, the faces of the husband and witnesses turned pale, bodies began to tremble—the lie was now about to be exposed. The Qazi said in a loud voice: "فَجَلِّدُوهُمْ، فَإِنَّهُمْ يَكْذِبُونَ!" "Arrest these liars and whip them, they are the liars." Then the Qazi expressed regret over his observation and said: "بِئْسَ القُرَى الَّتِي كِلَابُهَا أَصْدَقُ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا!" "How unfortunate is the village whose dogs are more truthful than its people!" _____📝📝📝_____ Narrated / Transmitted. Selection from Islamic Tube Pro App.
