The student thought and replied inquisitively, "3??"

"4," the student replied.
Now the teacher grew very angry. First, he scolded the student and then asked in anger, "How? How can there be 4 apples?!"
The student replied innocently:
"Because there is already one apple in my bag."
Therefore... instead of getting angry, it is better for a person to first understand others' perspectives. It is possible they are looking at the matter from a different angle, and it is also possible that their viewpoint is correct.
