*The Grand Mufti, Mufti Muhammad Rafi Usmani (may his shadow be lengthened) states:*
We had a relative in India. We saw his children, and then the children of his children; there is not a single man, woman, or child among them who is not afflicted by one severe calamity or another... As soon as one trouble ends, another begins...
My respected father, Mufti Muhammad Shafi (may Allah have mercy on him), once said to me: "The calamities that are seen in such abundance in this family... I know of only one reason for it. That particular gentleman, who was their grandfather, was not eligible to receive Zakat, yet he used to accept Zakat."
