Supports Make a Person Hollow

Supports Make a Person Hollow

On a freezing winter evening, a king of Iran was entering his palace when he noticed an old doorman guarding the main gate, wearing a very old and thin uniform. The king stopped his carriage near him and asked the elderly doorman, "Don't you feel cold?" The doorman replied, "I feel very cold, Your Majesty, but what can I do? I do not own any warm clothes, so I just have to endure it." The king said, "I am going inside the palace right now and will send one of my warm outfits for you." The doorman was overjoyed, bowed deeply, and expressed his immense gratitude. However, as soon as the king entered his cozy, warm palace, he completely forgot the promise he had made to the doorman. The next morning, the stiff, frozen body of the old doorman was found at the gate. Nearby on the ground, written in the dirt with his freezing fingers, was this message: "Long live the King! For many years, I kept guard during winters in this same thin uniform, but last night, your promise of warm clothing took my life away." Lesson: False supports make a person hollow, and relying on expectations only weakens you. Start living on the basis of your own strength. Throw away the crutches of dependency and test your own power. (Narrated — Selection: Islamic Tube Pro App)
