A group of eunuchs created a ruckus at Deoria railway station in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday night when they were stopped from extorting money from passengers. Railway Protection Force (RPF) inspector Aas Mohammad was attacked after he tried to stop them from illegally collecting money. Police have arrested two eunuchs, while five are absconding. The video of the incident went viral on social media, sparking outrage in public circles. Details of the incident On the night of August 31, 2025, a group of eunuchs were forcibly demanding money from passengers at platform number 1 of Deoria Sadar railway station. According to eyewitness Rahul Tripathi, ‘The eunuchs were extorting money from the passengers, and when Inspector Aas Mohammad intervened, they became agitated.’ The RPF inspector tried to stop the two eunuchs, but other eunuchs gathered and attacked them with sticks. Meanwhile, chaos broke out on the platform, and the inspector was subjected to violence. RPF Assistant Security Commissioner Mukesh Pawar said that the eunuch was illegally demanding money from the passengers. The inspector caught two people, but the other eunuchs formed a mob and misbehaved and attacked them.’ The police took immediate action and arrested two eunuchs, Shabana and Rani, while five others went absconding. Joint teams of the Government Railway Police (GRP) and RPF are conducting raids to search for the absconding accused.
