Imitating others, a custom has also become prevalent in Muslim society where in some modern and highly educated households, the husband and wife go out for sightseeing and recreation to commemorate the day of Nikah (wedding anniversary), they have dinner in hotels, give gifts etc. to each other, and organize this every year. However, this is not an Islamic method or symbol that should be celebrated; rather, it is an imitation of non-Muslims and a condemnable act, which involves several evils and is based on extravagance. Therefore, it is strictly necessary to avoid and refrain from this bad custom in every situation. (Aham Masail / Vol: 9 / Page: 277)
