Time for Tahajjud?

The time for Tahajjud is the same as the time for Isha; Tahajjud prayer can be offered anytime after the Isha prayer until the time for Fajr begins. There is a narration by Al-Haythami: "Whatever prayer is offered after Isha is Qiyam al-Layl, meaning Tahajjud." Keeping in view the practices of the Prophet, the jurists have written that if one wishes to spend one-third of the night in Tahajjud, the middle third of the night is most virtuous, and if one wishes to offer Tahajjud for half the night, it is most virtuous to spend the latter half in Tahajjud. See the post of the famous caller and journalist of Gaza, Mr. Jihad Al-Halis! He is saying:

"By Allah! If you were to see the atrocities and sufferings inflicted upon the people of Gaza, you would be left stunned. The mind would not be able to accept how a human being can stay alive after enduring all these oppressions and hardships, and how death did not occur due to the intensity of these sufferings?!! By Allah! If these sufferings and hardships had passed over a rock, it would have split apart due to the intensity of the pain; if such oppression were inflicted upon the sea, it would turn into vapor; if such tyranny were unleashed upon gigantic mountains, cracks would appear in them; even a metal as strong as iron would melt away from the intensity of this pain!! Compared to the calamities we have witnessed, your worries are negligible (By God, this is reality). Do not become accustomed to the heartbreaking scenes happening to us; do not consider it our normal life / routine life. Undoubtedly, Allah Almighty is watching those who have left us alone, helpless and without support, and they all have to be accountable before Allah Almighty." - Translator: Abdul Rahman Fazal.
