وَ لَئِنْ اَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ اِلٰۤى اُمَّةٍ مَّعْدُوْدَةٍ لَّیَقُوْلُنَّ مَا یَحْبِسُهٗ اَلَا یَوْمَ یَاْتِیْهِمْ لَیْسَ مَصْرُوْفًا عَنْهُمْ وَ حَاقَ بِهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ یَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ۠(۸)(سورۃ ھود)

Translation

And if We delay the punishment for these people for a certain period, they will keep saying: What has held it (the punishment) back? Oh! The day that punishment arrives, it will not be averted from them, and the very thing they are mocking will encompass them from all sides. (8) (Asan Tarjuma-e-Quran) Meaning: By saying this, they were actually mocking the Hereafter and the divine punishment. (Asan Tarjuma-e-Quran)
