As preparations for Diwali and Chhath Puja are underway, the morning of November 1 brought fresh news of inflation for the general public and businesses. As on the first of every month, oil companies have released new LPG rates. This time, prices of the 19-kg commercial cylinder have gone up, which will affect the budgets of those running hotels, restaurants and dhabas. The relief is that the price of the 14.2-kg domestic cylinder remains unchanged.
New Rates in Major Cities (November 1, 2026)
City Commercial (19 kg) Domestic (14.2 kg)
Delhi ₹2,820 (₹10 costlier; ₹2,810 in October) ₹942

Impact on Businesses and Pockets
Commercial cylinders are mainly used in hotels, restaurants, dhabas, sweet shops and catering. With prices rising for the second consecutive month, their operating costs will increase. If businesses pass on the higher cost to customers during the festive season, eating out or buying sweets could become slightly more expensive.
