It is said that a very big wealthy merchant (Seth) employed a man who was slow-witted. When the rich man would return home after finishing his work, he would ask this #foolish man absurd and strange questions to relieve his fatigue and tension. And the poor man would reply according to his limited intellect, hearing which the merchant would double over with laughter, and thus his entire day's fatigue would vanish.

One day, a thought came to the rich man's mind, why not test this fool...?

So, while handing a white stick to the fool, he said:

"You will give this stick to the person whom you find to be even more foolish than yourself."

Time passed. That rich man became severely ill.

One day, he called his foolish servant and said:

"You forgive me. By tempting you with a little money, I kept playing with your feelings just to gain a few moments of happiness."

Tears came to the servant's eyes... He said:

"Master, why are you talking like this today?"

The rich man replied:

"I am going very far away..."

Servant: "Are you going by airplane or by car?"

Merchant (with tearful eyes): "One can go there neither by airplane nor by car. The Angel of Death (Malak al-Mawt) will simply come and take me away."

Servant: "Okay, then you must have bought cars for that place?"

Merchant: "No..."

Servant: "Okay, then there must be servants for service, right? And you must have bought a very big bungalow to live in as well. Have you got your luggage packed...?"

Merchant: "No, I have neither a bungalow nor servants for that place... and one has to go there empty-handed."

Servant (being surprised): "Then when will you come back?"

Merchant: "The one who goes there once never comes back. He stays there forever..."

That foolish servant stood there for a while thinking about something. Then suddenly, he ran back toward his room. When he came back, the same white stick was in his hand. He handed that white stick to his master...

The merchant was surprised to see this, and when he asked the reason, the servant said:

"Master, a long time ago you gave this stick to me and said to give it to the one whom you find more foolish than yourself.

Master, in this world, you seemed to be the most foolish to me. Where you had to stay for a short while, you worked day and night to build a magnificent bungalow there. You kept servants for service. You collected cars. But where you had to live forever, you earned nothing for that place... Now I can no longer stay with a human being more foolish than myself." Saying this, he walked away from there.

.......

This is a message for all of us... Living in this temporary world, have we all not got involved in collecting the unnecessary wealth and possessions of the world? Or have we collected something for our permanent home as well?......

Do think about it once...

There is no reliability of death as to when it may arrive. Consider the few moments that are remaining as a blessing. Dedicate some time out of your extremely busy schedule to the preparation for your Hereafter as well. This alone will be your real earning. The wealth of the world will remain in the world itself...

This world is not a place to attach one's heart to.

This is a place of warning, not a spectacle.

The Magnanimity of Fazl bin Rabi'

The Magnanimity of Fazl bin Rabi'

A person wrote a forged letter in the name of Fazl bin Rabi', in which an order for one thousand dinars was issued for himself and signed. The man took the letter and reached the treasurer of Fazl bin Rabi'. The treasurer read the letter but suspected nothing. He was just about to hand over the one thousand dinars to him when, in the meantime, Fazl bin Rabi' himself arrived there for some work. The treasurer mentioned that man to him and also showed him the letter. After looking at the letter, Fazl bin Rabi' cast a glance at the man's face; his face had turned pale and he was trembling with fear. Fazl bin Rabi' lowered his head, thought for a while, and then addressed the treasurer, "Do you know why I have come to you at this time?" The treasurer shook his head in negation. Fazl bin Rabi' said, "I have come only to emphasize that you must pay the amount to this person immediately and fulfill his need." The treasurer immediately put a thousand dinars into a bag and handed them over to the man. The man was left dumbfounded. In a state of nervousness, he would look sometimes at the face of Fazl bin Rabi' and sometimes at the treasurer's. Fazl bin Rabi' came close and addressed him, "Do not worry, and head home happily." Out of intense emotion, that person kissed the hand of Fazl bin Rabi' and said, "You covered my fault and did not humiliate me. May Allah cover your faults on the Day of Resurrection and protect you from humiliation." Saying this, he took the dinars and left.
