This is an incident regarding Maulana Idris Kandhlawi (may Allah have mercy on him). The poor soul was very innocent, simple, and straightforward. His attention was always directed towards Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, and he used to study extensively. Once he visited here and stayed at my place. I told my son, "Hazrat is going for Hajj, so there are some necessities; please go to the market with him." When he returned in the evening, he said, "Brother! I saw boards put up at various places on the roads, and on them it was written 'Tabbat Suno', 'Tabbat Suno' (by 'Tabbat', Maulana meant the Surah of the Holy Quran), but nowhere was it written 'Qul Huwallahu Suno'. What is the matter?" I said, "Hazrat! You made a mistake in reading it. This is not 'Tabbat Suno' but 'Tibet Snow', which is the name of a cream." He replied, "That is exactly why I was wondering why 'Tabbat Suno' is written everywhere but 'Qul Huwallahu Suno' is nowhere to be seen."
