A woman says: One day I was cleaning my house, when my son came and dropped a glass masterpiece (gift) and it broke. I was very angry with him because it was very expensive, my mother had given it to me, I loved it and wanted to keep it. In anger, I called him and said: "May my Lord collapse a wall on you that breaks your bones!" The woman says: Years passed, I forgot about this call, this curse. I didn't care about it, nor did I know that it had ascended to the heavens! My son grew up with his brothers and sisters, and he was the dearest to my heart among my sons. I was afraid of even a breath of wind harming him; he was more righteous and dutiful to me than his brothers and sisters. He studied, graduated, got a job, and I was looking for a wife for him. His father had an old building, and he wanted to demolish and rebuild it. My son went to the building with his father, the workers were preparing for demolition. Meanwhile, during his work, my son walked away from his father, and the worker did not notice him, so the wall collapsed on him!! My son screamed and then his voice vanished. The workers stopped, and everyone became anxious and terrified!! With great difficulty, they removed the wall from him, the ambulance arrived. His body was not even in a state to be carried; it had fallen and shattered like glass. They lifted him with great difficulty and transferred him to the intensive care unit!! And when his father informed me, I fainted. When I regained consciousness, it was as if Allah Almighty restored before my eyes that exact moment when I had cursed him in his childhood many years ago, and I remembered that curse. I kept crying and crying until I lost consciousness again. When I recovered in the hospital, I asked to see my son. I saw him, and I wish I had not seen him in that state! In those moments, his heartbeat stopped, and my son took his last breath. I said while crying: "I wish he would come back to life, break all the artwork in the house, just let me not lose him." "I wish I had gone dumb and not cursed him." "I wish, I wish, I wish, but the time for the word 'wish' had run out!" A man came to Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak (may Allah have mercy on him) to complain about his son's disobedience!! Ibn Al-Mubarak asked him: "Did you pray against him (curse him)?" He said: "Yes."
